What exactly are the MP4 and MP3 USB flash drives?
They are external hard drives that are about the size of a AAA battery. They can be inserted into the USB port of most any computer, laptop or compatible device/tablet (see operating system requirements below). The MP4 drive contains video files (in mpeg-4 video format) of every title in our catalog. The MP3 drive contains audio files (in mpeg-3 audio format) of every title in our catalog. Once the USB drive is inserted into the USB port on your computer or device, you simply drag-and-drop the MP4/MP3 files into your media player application (typically iTunes, WinAmp or Windows Media Player). From there you can easily sync or transfer the files to your iPhone, iPad, Android or some other compatible device. Or you can play them directly on your computer or burn them to a disc. If you purchase the MP4 or MP3 drive and need assistance transferring or playing the files, we will help you. Simply contact us at info(at)islamondemand.com
What are the technical details of the MP4 files?
Resolution: Standard definition 540×320, Codec: H.264, Audio format: AAC
What operating system is required to read the USB flash drive?
Desktop computers and laptops: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Mac OSX 10.5 or higher. Android devices: Most all should be compatible but we recommend consulting the device’s manual.

My purchase must be approved and I need the total cost before placing the order. How do I do that?
Simply add your items to the cart and checkout. Proceed to input your shipping address. You will then see the total order amount. No payment is necessary to view this information.
Can I broadcast your lectures or show them to an audience in a federal institution?
Islam On Demand, producer of all the lectures in its catalog, grants total permission and rights to publicly display or broadcast any and all lectures from its catalog, as long as it is for free and there is no revenue generated. If you are receiving a payment or revenue of any kind for broadcasting/displaying/streaming our lectures, you are required to contact us to receive explicit permission and clearance. If no permission is granted or if you cannot reach us, then you do not have the right to use our lectures commercially. The rights to non-commercial/free/personal use only apply to those lectures produced by Islam On Demand, which are listed on this website or our YouTube channel. I want to pay by credit card, not PayPal. How do I do that?
On the checkout screen where it says “Choose a way to pay” select “Don’t have a PayPal account?” and click “Continue”. Although you will be directed to PayPal’s website, you do not need to create a PayPal account. You will be prompted to enter your credit card details directly on PayPal’s website and the charges will be made to whatever credit card you use. After paying for your order, you will be asked to create a PayPal account but it’s only an option, not a requirement. Opting not to create a PayPal account will not affect the processing or delivery of your order.
What exactly are the MP3 Audio Discs?
They are DVD-R or CD-R discs that contain lectures formatted as MP3 audio files. You place the disc into your computer and drag-and-drop the MP3 files into your MP3 software application (typically iTunes, WinAmp or Windows Media Player). From there you can easily sync or transfer the MP3 files to your iPod, iPhone, iPad or some other compatible MP3 player. Or you can play them on your computer or burn them to an audio CD. For more details about the MP3 files themselves keep reading below.
What exactly is the MP3 USB flash drive?
It is a 16 GB external hard drive that is about the size of a AAA battery. It can be inserted into the USB port of most any computer, laptop or compatible device/tablet (see operating system requirements below). It contains MP3 audio files of every title in our catalog. Once the USB drive is visible on your screen, you simply drag-and-drop the MP3 files into your MP3 software application (typically iTunes, WinAmp or Windows Media Player). From there you can easily sync or transfer the MP3 files to your iPod, iPhone, iPad or some other compatible MP3 player. Or you can play them on your computer or burn them to an audio CD. For more details about the MP3 files themselves keep reading below.
What operating system is required to read the USB flash drive?
Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Mac OSX 10.5 or higher. If your computer or device is not running one of these we recommend purchasing the MP3s on DVD-R instead (PC only).
Can I play the MP3 Audio Discs on my MP3 Disc player or CD player at home or in my car?
No. Our MP3 discs are formatted for your computer drive only. However, once inserted into your computer you can create your own MP3 disc by burning the files to any CD-R in whatever format is compatible with your player.
Are the MP3 Audio Discs compatible with PC or Mac?
They are compatible with all PCs and some Macs. We highly recommend Mac users to select the “USB flash drive” option instead of the “Disc” option. The USB drive is compatible with PCs and Macs running OSX 10.5 or higher.
Do the MP3 Audio Discs and USB Flash Drive contain different files?
No. The MP3 files are exactly the same.
Which MP3 players are compatible with the MP3 computer files?
Any player that plays MP3 encoded audio files. Our MP3 files are DRM-free. DRM stands for “Digital Rights Management” which is an encoding format used by some companies to prevent MP3 files from being copied to numerous devices or computers. Our MP3 files do not have this encoding so you can transfer them to any MP3 player regardless of make or model. Please note: We do not permit copying to devices or computers that you do not own.
How do the MP3 Audio Discs differ from Audio CDs?
In terms of content, there is no difference. The lectures are exactly the same. From a technical standpoint, the MP3 files contain additional metadata such as title, speaker, album, track number, disc number and artwork. This data is viewable on most MP3 software applications and MP3 devices. The audio quality of the MP3 files are considerably less than CD audio but this difference is hardly perceivable to the human ear. Our MP3 files are encoded at 96kbps stereo, which compresses them to roughly 10% of their original size. Our MP3 discs may not be playable on some standard CD players, however, you can burn the MP3 files to a CD using most MP3 software applications. Please check your device’s specifications for more details.
How do the MP3 Audio Discs differ from Audio Downloads?
The MP3 Audio Discs must be shipped so you have to wait to receive them and you have to pay for the shipping cost. You may also have to pay an import duty if you live outside the United States. The audio downloads are instant and free of any shipping cost or import duty. The downloads may also be cheaper than the discs, depending on which country you live in. Please check each download store for more details on pricing. Technically speaking there is very little difference in the files themselves. The MP3 files are encoded in the MP3 format whereas downloads from iTunes are encoded in the M4A format. M4A files are slightly better in sound quality but can only be played on Apple devices such as the iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc. unless converted into MP3. MP3 files are universally compatible with all MP3 players including Apple devices.
Why are some of the MP3 Discs 1 disc and some are 2 discs?
Many of our MP3 discs are distributed on CD-R discs (CD recordable discs). These discs have a maximum data limit of 700 megabytes. When the cumulative file size of the MP3 data exceeds this limit, we must use extra discs. However, you are not paying any more for these extra discs.
I ordered multiple MP3 titles but I only received one disc, why?
Whenever you order more than one individual MP3 title, we reserve the right to combine them on a single disc. We do this to reduce costs and order fulfillment time. It also makes it more convenient for you since having the files on the least number of discs makes importing the files into your computer or device much less time-consuming.
Why are some of your MP3 titles (such as the Master Collection of MP3s) sold on DVD-R and not CD-R like other titles?
Quite simply because DVDs hold more data than CDs.
What devices are compatible with your MP3 DVD-Rs?
All you need is a DVD player on your computer. Once the DVD-R is inserted into your computer, you will be able to view the MP3 files on the disc in the same way you view files on your computer. You can then drag-and-drop the MP3 files into your favorite MP3 software application (typically iTunes, WinAmp or Windows Media Player). A CD player on your computer is NOT compatible with our MP3 DVD-R discs and will not be able to read the data.
My order status says “Pending”. What does that mean?
This means that some of the items you ordered are out of stock. Your order will ship as soon as the items are in stock.

Currency exchange rates fluctuate daily. To calculate the current exchange rate for your local currency click here.
If you are outside the U.S. and prefer to order by mail click here. Please note that you must send us an international bank draft which can be issued by your bank. What format are your videos distributed in?
NTSC (North American standard).
I live outside of North America. Will your DVDs and CDs play on my player?
All our DVDs are NTSC formatted. NTSC is the video standard for the U.S. and Canada whereas PAL and SECAM are standards of Europe and the Middle East. In most cases our NTSC discs will not play properly on PAL or SECAM players. However, they will play perfectly fine on multi-format players which are very common outside of North America. Before you purchase our DVDs, be sure that your player is compatible with NTSC formatted DVDs. Regarding the regional encoding for our DVDs, they are encoded for all regions of the world, which means they are not restricted for use in one particular area. Our Audio CDs will play on all players throughout the world.
Do you give discounts to resellers?
All our products are already discounted. For wholesale orders that meet a certain minimum we can give 75% off. We have a company that sells Islamic media products. Would Islam On Demand be interested in selling our products?
No. We are strictly a production company, not a reseller. We only sell the products that we produce ourselves. We do this in order to maintain a consistent level of quality and for logistical reasons.
Do you have a retail store?
No. We only sell our products via our website.
What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with the content or quality of a product, you can return it to us for a refund within 10 days of receiving your order. To receive a refund, you must provide a detailed explanation of the reason for your return. The products must also be in new condition upon receipt. If the products returned are damaged or are deemed “less than new”, a restocking fee may apply (up to 15%). Shipping charges (both ways) will not be refunded. You can also exchange a product for a credit towards another purchase. Defective products will be replaced for the same item at no charge within 1 year of the order date. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of all returns and exchanges.
I received my package and I noticed that the postage marked on the package is less than what I paid. Why is that?
The postage on the package is the cost of the actual shipping. However, there are additional costs such as packaging and handling which we included in the total shipping cost that you paid.
I see that a bonus lecture is included on a DVD but not on the CD for that same title, why?
Because we cannot squeeze as much data onto a CD that we can onto a DVD. Audio CDs have a limitation of 80 minutes of audio while DVDs can hold up to 132 minutes of both audio and video. This is why you’ll find that many of our CDs do not include bonus lectures, even if their DVD counterparts do.
Do you record conferences and lectures? If so, what is the cost?
Yes, and we could possibly do it for free! Please send an email to info(at)islamondemand.com and provide the following information: Lecture or conference title, location, date and speaker name(s). We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, insha’ Allah.
Why are you selling Islamic knowledge? Why are your lectures copyrighted? Isn’t that haram?
Islam On Demand is a company that provides a service, much like any other company from which you may buy products and services. Our service is producing and providing for you high quality lectures. This service has many expenses which must be paid for. Since we are not subsidized and since we do not solicit donations, we must sell the lectures we record for a reasonable amount. Your purchase helps to support our effort of da’wah. If someone is willing to guarantee payment for all our operating expenses on a perpetual basis, then we would immediately begin providing our content free of charge.
